Would be kind of funny if in 3 or 4 years time he's plateaued, no one wants him and he has to go back to Kosovo and beg to be selected.
If he had an English parent or grandparent then fine, if he moved to England as a kid & was brought up here then fine. Move over here at 16 & want to play for England a few years later? No chance. Not having that, it's wrong. Couldn't care less whether other countries do it, I don't want us to
If he was looking for glory, he'd play for Belgium. And I still think he will do. They've a cracking team of youngsters.
Agree with you 100%. Logic says he will go on to play for Belgium, and I hope he does. Belgium - my bet for Euro 2016.
This is a little bit misleading He can't choose to play for Kosovo as they're not a FIFA recognised team. They were just arranging a friendly against (Haiti?) as a showcase event as they try and negotiate entry in to the Euros. He hasn't rejected them at all. That's his place of birth and where his family are mainly from, so he's in a bit of a difficult position if he wants to play International Football. Wherever he chooses is unlikely to be his true home, but England shouldn't be an option really (although the John Barnes argument is valid).
Even at 12 you're still growing up & at school she. I just think at 16 you're an adult & shouldn't be able to change nationality if you move to another country at that age or over
He can't vote, can't drink and would be tried in court for a serious offences a minor. He's not an adult.
In legal terms yes. I believe he's an adult in footballing terms though. At 16 you can sign a professional contract. I don't believe you should be able to move to another country at or after this age & attempt to play for that country.
Saw him voting for One Direction on X Factor, so tha lying there. And I saw him drinking Lucozade at Old Trafford t'other day. Thar a reight billy liar thee.
