    Such a hard thing this prediction of where we will end.
    On one hand we all know the standard between L1 & Championship is big on the other we have our issues.
    I think the lines between success and failure in this league are so fine it can come down to one player making the difference.

    I think one striker of the Winnall variety would make a big difference. Unfortunately I can't see us being in the position to sign a player with the credentials he had this season.
    It would be nice to be wrong though. :)

    Very much agree with this. If you get one player with a bit of speed, a bit of guile, a bit of quality, it can make a big difference. Especially if you get your team organised and in a good shape.

    I think we've got some decent players (depending on who stays) and Duff seems a down to earth, honest bloke who will give his best. We just need time for his ideas to get across, for a few pennies to drop, and if we can win a few more, for belief to breathe through the squad. Even from the 6 minutes I watched before the match replay cut out, Benson was showing for the ball and trying to move others around into position. Just that little snippet is a big improvement from last week and certainly last season.

    At this time, I think the most important thing is we don't slip through the leagues. That would be catastrophic.

    There's about 8 teams with aspirations of finishing higher in the League. I reckon there's 15 teams we can beat. Beat them home and away and that's 90 points.

    That’s the thing in this league, historically it seems to be the defensive side that makes more of a difference than goals scored(even though goals win games).
    If you take last season most teams in top 12 averaged 1.5 ish goals a season(no one averaged 2) the real difference in placing seemed to be on conceded.

    Good interview with JAQ. I like her. She seems to actually be bringing some new ideas, rather than just chat! Seems like a great person to have involved with the club.

    This KidSuper thing is interesting.

    let's see what happens. she said she thought we were at 5/10 in terms of our brand positioning. then said she was aiming for 10/10. then said she thought not only could we get there, but we could get there quickly.

    then about 3 hours later, hex.com happened.

    lol true. I assume recruiting Hex as our sponsor wasn't her doing. She'd probably trust that the CEO/ marketing team or whoever wouldn't score such an own goal...

    oh absolutely no doubt. I doubt she had any input whatsoever. but it will absolutely fk up our brand...whatever that is.
