You mean Jordan, who got a run at the end. Charlton away, Cavare stayed up top as he wouldn’t defend. Only time I can recall an opposition manager picking out one of our players as such a weakness in his post match interview.
Jordan williams yes got a few games when cavare was injured cavare was a regular and always picked before williams and rightly so. I think you mean grant mcann who said about cavare been slow to get back after getting forward. But rovers only put one goal past us in 180 minutes that season. The defence was key to that promotion with kieffer moore injured the goals did dry up quite abit.
I cant recall bowyer saying it i know mcann did as i can remeber listening to him on radio sheffield after the 1-1 draw. But like i said if he was such a liability they only managed to score 1 in 180 minutes and cavare was ever present in the best defence in league one. Unfairly criticised by a few who made their minds up after the sending off against fulham
Best defence because of Davies, Pinnock and Lindsay covering for an atrocious full back. I judged him based on his disgraceful attitude and the insane number of goals he was at fault for. But each to their own. If he was as good as you say, he’d have made a better career for himself.
You rewite history i had a season ticket that season and did quite alot of away days i know what i saw. Maybe you should have a word with the people at the f.a who pick the team of the season get his place revoked.
I don’t rewrite history at all. But you have your view, I have mine and it’s certainly not going to be changed that he’s one of the worst ill disciplined selfish over rated players to have pulled on a red shirt.
