We did the right thing and it was refreshing to see a loan to a club in the same division rather than Guiseley, Alfreton etc. I was one of his biggest critics but he's slowly proving he can do it at this level and we may have a replacement for Mads should we not get out of this league at the first attempt.
i think Messi and Ronaldo woukd have struggled under Schopp and Asbaghi. Good luck to the lad and hope he comes back better and stronger.
The lad was messed about by some very poor coaches and typical of a lot of our fans they are quick to throw him under the bus but thankfully we have Duff in charge who knows what he is doing, if he can see a future for Moon then he will develop him & we as fans should trust Duff & give Moon the backing & support our players deserve.
I don't but I agree it was mot the best environment gor a young lad to start his professional career. He's got a great name so I hope he features in many positive headlines for us!
I think there’s a bit of rewriting of history. Moon pretty much had to be thrown in by Schopp when we were short on players. It wasn’t ideal playing different positions & different formations in a struggling side but I’m sure in the long run he’ll have learned far more than he would’ve in our under 23’s or shipped out on loan to the conference. If you look at loads of our better players over the last decade they broke through either at league 2 / conference clubs or on loan at smaller clubs from clubs in the top couple of divisions. I’m sure many of them would’ve struggled if they went straight into the championship at 19 years old. I think it’s good business having him tied down to a long term deal. He should only get better at his age & I’m glad he’s doing well at Burton.
