    I tried it out last week.

    It's all very sterile, once in there. It was better when it was the old Yates. More character to it.

    Not bad, but I certainly wouldn't be staying in there any longer than it takes to drink a pint of Johns.

    Agreed.

    I got the impression they not really spent that much cash on the refurb for a quick return over xmas. It will probably work too but they wont get anymore of my cash.

    Same bar, fittings, doors etc etc, just different 'loud' colour scheme. Laurence Lewellyn Bowen would probably like it though

    Been in a couple of times since it opened other week, 1st night had a neil diamond tribute act who was crap and cleared the place. then me and my fella went in last saturday and the speakers blew up and sounded rubbish but before and before we left 2 lappdancers started dancing about wearing next to nothing !
    Won't be going back in a hurry ! Bring back yates's...
