I agree, poor kid. It must be awfully difficult finding the motivation to stay trim when you're only getting paid 4k a week, especially if a nasty man calls you names. My heart bleeds for the poor little sausage.
Look I'm not his dad or agent or ought but you obviously completely miss and possibly never encountered what it's like to have a phycolgical maybe depressive or even just plain old 'shitting myself cos they're all at me' time. Opinions we'll see ,and , that's exactly why it's gone wrong at Oakwell people thinking they can and are better... And 4000 a week, or 40 000 a week ,monies immaterial when your struggling inside your head.. Mk Dons obviously agree with me
If they get the best out of him, he could be a decent signing. Wouldn't expect him to tear the league apart and on his day, he's better than League 1 in my opinion and MK Dons have done right taking a chance, if the contract is right for the club and not just for the player
If he was depressed then fair enough, that's something we should have tried to help with. But there's nothing to suggest that it was that.
Agree, but would you want all your work mates etc to know your inside problems, health, addictions ,etc etc even if or even worse your on 4000 a week ? I watched a programme last night on telly about a chap who lost his mum and he hit the drink grew a beard like santa etc etc...he needed help ,yes this is extreme but happens. Personally , my life went wrong for a while ,twice, different circumstances but completely screwd me, but even my in laws don't know today that I've been threw the mill never mind the whole of Oakwell. He needs a fresh start ,he's hopefully got it ,get on Dale and prove these nasty abusive pis@ takers wrong.
I'll be completely honest... I see him making it still and being a good Championship winger probably in the £2-3m bracket in a few years. That's not to say we should have kept him as we were more than patient and it was clear he needed a fresh start. But talent-wise, very few players have his dribbling skill and pace and if he can retain match fitness and regain his confidence, MK Dons have a player there. Remember how Vaz Te was a no hoper before we managed to get him going again. I think a club will strike gold with Jennings. Whether that's MK Dons or another club later down the line, I don't know. A real shame it didn't work out at BFC because I think we all go to football to watch the likes of Jennings and McCourt in full flow. Just terribly frustrating that two of the most skillful players we've had in years both failed to retain fitness or form whilst with us.
Wish him luck and he'll need it with a load of bloody hard work if he's to stand a chance of succeeding. I'd give him a 10% chance of sustaining a career above league 1. Wrong physique for the modern game and appears to lack the necessary will to remain in shape.
Re: Wish him luck Him going months earlier or for a fee now and we could have saved the jobs that went at the club.
