    I'd blocked those calamities out of my mind to be honest! Maybe I'm being a little harsh on Krizan as he picked up an injury early on, but I hated Tinkler with a passion. Not the worst player we've ever had at all, but had the heart of a pea and a massively inflated sense of his own ability. "I see Barnsley as a stepping stone to greater things." Yet all he ended up with was yet another relegation on his CV.

    I didn't mind him either. Plenty worse but also plenty better. Of our signings from abroad he'd be in the middle third of not one of our best but not one of our worse. Out of curiousity I Googled him to see what he's upto now and he happens to be on the verge of the sack......

    Tinkler was a boil on the arse of Oakwell. I hated him with a passion. Like you said not the worst player in the world but certainly one with one of the shittest attitudes.

    According to this article, a deal is far from done.

    He's been given permission to speak with us but we've not matched Eindhoven's evaluation of him. In fact if I understand it right, we've not tabled an offer. He's expected to speak with other clubs with Gent being interested too.
