First the United States of Europe. Then just the United States. Not in my lifetime thank god, but I fear for my grandchildren.
Why? What's scary about everyone being at peace and working together? I dream of it for my grandchildren.
We could say back to you.......but only time will tell.....no one knows.....but a vote to remain takes it a step nearer....a vote to remain should the remain camp win waters down your freedom to change a thing. At least under our own election rules we have more chance to elect a socialist government than you ever will under the capitalist federal state you and many others are keen to . As for your claims they come from a tory prime minister who lies every time he opens his mouth
There'll never be peace as long as there are human beings on the planet. And working together? Are we really 'all in this together' right now? The New World Order is all about control and manipulation of the many by the few for personal gain. Twas ever thus and its set on a course now to get far, far worse.
The leave campaign reckon that if we leave their answer to our immigration problems is the Aussie points system, to tackle the Europeans coming here. That's the same points system they already use for non-EU migrants. Which must be easy to score points on, considering we see more non-EU migrants coming here.
Most people are obsessed with the migration issue. That's never been my main concern with a federal EU. It's the further concentration of power from many to a 'chosen' few.
Hopefully once weve voted to get out of the Eus shackles it would allow a proper immigration system to be out in place that favours skilled workers and specialists regardless of where they come from rather than the current open border policy in place whi h has contributed to the mass migration of overwhelmingly unskilled workers from within the boundries of the eu.
But we don't have any 'shackles' over who we allow in from outside the EU but we still allow lots of people in. What makes you think that the point scoring system for allowing EU nationals in will be any different from the point scoring system we use to allow non-EU nationals in?
I didnt mention migration. And you are right i was focusing on certain areas of society which could encompass parts of bradford. There are at least 60 sharia courts operating inside the uk. Although they are not classed as a uk law court but as a tribunal the judgements granted in them are considered binding regardless of wether they conflict with uk and even eu law.
But at least those few are 'chosen' (not sure why you put it like that, we can vote for our MEP and each vote counts under the proportional representation system). In Britain we have the House of Lords where there is nothing 'chosen' (by us at least) about them.
I'd prefer to wait until at least the exit polls Last General Election the bookies and pollsters were way out Why are you so sure they are right this time I really do hope for a comfortable remain victory but definitely am still very worried
I hope Remain squeeks by. TTIP and Junker need to be kicked in the jacksee but cuting off your main trading partners is suicide and allowing Farage and Gove to lead our country to WW3 is madness, but a real fear.
You might want to read this. https://fullfact.org/law/uks-sharia-courts/ My white English bridesmaid/work colleague has attented one of these sharia courts for her divorce (she married a muslim man and so they had a divorce there and then a legally binding one) and didn't feel any mistreated, they just granted the divorce. Again, have you ever worked/lived/held a conversation with any of the people you are talking about or are you relying on things you have seen in the papers? I still hold to the opinion that if people spent any significant amount of time with the people they consider to be different to themselves then they'd realise that people are just people, regardless of where they are born. You simple can't go to university with, work with and become friends with people and still hold these views. Ignorance is fear.
This from the FT at 3:20 p.m. The mood was echoed on stock markets, where the FTSE 100 index hit a two-month high. The index of leading shares was up 1.5% at 6357 in mid-morning trading, buoyed by mining shares as copper prices rose. There were also gains for other bourses around Europe with Germany and France’s main share indices up almost 2%.
since 1999, we have voted 'Yes' 2474 times out of 2601 EU legislation proposals. that's 98% of the EU legislation proposals which the UK have supported. we already are in control. what are these 'EU shackles' that people keep referring to?
