Agree. I think the single most significant and worrying thing to come out of this in the short term is that the country looks like being split virtually down the middle. Bridges will need to be built - and fast. Who do we have capable of doing this when the politicians on both sides have behaved so appallingly badly?

I get that but it wasn't my point. I personally find Farage one of the reasons for voting against Brexit but tried to look at the bigger picture rather than a immigration driven agenda.
For me immigration was a distracting side show and it is the EU structure, and long term ambitions that I was voting against. I had already stated that I was voting against remain rather than voting for Brexit.. yes stability in the Middle east is the only solution to current World migration levels but God know how we will achieve that with the current World 'leaders' (and I use the term loosely). We need people to want to go back to their own countries and develop them without fear or prejudice and have a future. Anyway I digress.

If the polls DO turn out to be wrong and we do Brexit, there is absolutely no way I would vote for any Govt that included the likes of Farage. I despair who I would vote for as Cameron, Osborne, Farage, Johnson, and Corbyn, for me are unelectable for different reasons. I can't see anyone waiting in the wings either. The biggest disappointment for me is how all sides treated the voting public with contempt as both sides lied and lied to win the vote.

    Agreed
But those bridges will NEVER be built until we leave OR the issues raised by the leave campaign are adopted
Feelings against the EU will from here on in only get worse than what they are now - if that's at all possible

Can't agree more...democracy is what it's all about...and I think we've seen by most of the debate on here it's been passionate and fair...better than the crap supplied by the politicians...none of whom have enhanced their reputations . In or Out we're in it together.

i will wait to see what the result is but since 7 o'clock this morning customers have been coming in my shop and other than maybe 5 people they are all voting out, there is hardly any other talk today, its all about the referendum.I'm not just talking about old retired people here,i'm talking about everyone, young and old, whether retired or not, people that work at asos, barnsley hospital, barnsley council, premdoor, people from all walks of life.Maybe we are different to other areas but if not,so far it appears to be out.

Yes my future being completely ****ed is definitely a point scoring "up yours" topic. Or should I say "yors" since you seemingly lack the intelligence to spell the word "yours".
