Am amazed that Barton continues to be employed in football despite his list of offences , verbal and physical, he always seems to get a job. Do the people who employ him not see what we see ? It's often said that football is a different animal in employment rules but surely one look at his CV would scare any prospective employer sh*tless.
I'm guessing part of the reason he (Thomas) joined rovers was the proximity to his family. He suffered extreme home sickness I believe. On Barton. It never ceases to amaze me at the number of clubs that have welcomed him into the fold so to speak. Be it, as a player or manager. Must be his charm.
Frustrating player. I hope he clears his head space because thinking about it that might be why he has bouts of indecision near goal. He looks great and doesn't lack effort up to the opposition box then he crumbles.
I'm sorry, but as Thomas' boss, Barton has a duty of care towards him. The lad has suffered from documented mental health issues, and Barton thinks it's ok to publicly blast him, and tell everyone he's "...not wired in"? That's really going to help him, isn't it? I understand that managers have done this sort of things for as long as I can remember, but in this day and age and with our increased knowledge of mental health issues, it's uncalled for and could be the final nail in the coffin and break the lad properly.
Was thinking the same thing' get him back here out of the constant toxicity that surrounds Barton and lets try and get him firing....
Looking to deflect blame for squandering a lead when the opposition were down to 9 men. Hope he gets sent down this time next week and the sentence gets added to after his domestic violence trial. A bully and a coward, two things I cant stand, especially the first. He's done a rubbish job at the Gas anyway so after prison I think his football days are well and truly behind him.
Was one of a very long list of stupid ideas our club have made to allow someone with mental health issues to play for Barton. He should be recalled immediately so he can be better looked after and hopefully find him a better club to be with in January.
Oh thanks for the update. If you see a link to the proceedings would you mind sharing it, either on this thread or a new one and tagging me in it.
Wow ...Unbelievable utter lack of respect and understanding the ar5e hole is lower than a snakes belly
It's this Friday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-engla...ry, saying,November, is on unconditional bail.
It shouldn't be a surprise that Barton said those things. In the scheme of things, he's said much worse. I don't blame our club for letting Thomas go there given the proximity to family. But sadly, such an incident was always going to be likely. I'm not sure whats best for Thomas now. If we recall him, he's back in surroundings that he will recall he felt low and had some dark time, plus he's nearly 200 miles away from family and friends again. If he stays, he's around Barton still and who knows what words and actions he faces. Not good.
Joey Barton is a career bully. Like all bullies, he hasn’t once tried it on with anyone he knows could give him a good hiding. He’s a coward. A coward who wears round glasses and quotes Plato. Absolute nuclear grade cnt.
