I think that 'looking with contempt' down our noses at others is pathetic quite frankly.. This world of football and beyond like it or not is built on debt. It's the reality ..Everyone has debt, so we can ether play by the same rules as everyone else, or just muddle along year after year with dwindling crowds. if we get a good player sell him, a good coach let him get poached... Because neither will want to stay to a club with zero ambition.. Why did this board get involved in the first place if their highest aim is just to stagnate.. What's the point? Are all the other clubs going to go bust do you think..? And if they all did.. Who would we play? there'd only be little virtue signalling us left... Would we then award ourselves all the trophys.. ? If this board doesn't what to put money in that's up to them.. but Jesus don't applaud them for it. Let them move on.. I would sooner be non league with ambition and having a go than stagnate anywhere..
Don’t want this signing for two reasons, one I’ve already laid out in another post but if he signs I’d say it means DKDis off
Considering window shuts in an hour. I would have thought any potential incoming would have to be in the building by now, at the very least doing a medical. Same goes for outgoings
Think that’s more to do with managing the injury themself and the club not wanting to pay wages. I’m only guessing though on both
Each to their own mate, but you're following the wrong club if you think spaffing millions up the wall chasing the 'dream' of the Premier League demonstrates ambition. I'm not applauding our owners for keeping us afloat, they're responsible for this mess, and partially for the dwindling crowds. The kind of behaviour doesn't end with the club in the National League, it ends in oblivion. The bottom will fall out eventually, it has to, it's not sustainable to carry on the way it's going. The alternative is to try and run a sustainable model, and player trade your way up. We nearly got to the Premier League by doing just that. If that isn't ambition (I despise that word in this context), then I don't know what is.
