    First pint was in doorway “hatch” at Rose n Crown (Pig) on Mount Vernon road , I was 15 I think, no longer a pub I am afraid

    I knew a Jimmy Smith some years ago, and he wasn't bitter at all, he was a right silly giggle. :D

    Delighted to read it's still going. Folk need to reclaim their evenings away from the telly and frequent our pubs more often. There's too much nostalgia recalled about what things "used to be like" at the expense of very few new memories being created. Nobody ever remembered a banging night spent in the house downing a bottle of Blossom Hill to accompany the takeaway kebab whilst lapping up 3 episodes of Clarkson's Farm. That's what we're heading towards.
