In 5 years time he'll be 34 and still in his absolute prime as a centre half - so unlikely. Maybe 10 years time if he's nowt better to do but looking at Thiago Silva (age 38) still playing in Prem, who knows.
Be nice if he could bring the cup to Oakwell, either on show for a photo shoot or even bring it to a game next season and walk around the pitch perimeter at half- time.
Nooooooo! Got to disagree there. He's a great player and has my very best wishes and we should be proud we brought him through. But him parading round a trophy some other club won? No way. We can create our own moments to celebrate without leeching on someone else's.
I'd love to see him on the pitch like some of the other ex-players/alumni at half time. But not bringing the trophy. That's nothing to do with us, City won it. Yes, Stones was a big part of that but let's limit any appreciation to him and him alone. Sadly, I'm not even sure he'd be able to get to one of our matches given his playing schedule.
We could recreate the balboy photo with him hugging the trophy! What every kid that's into football dreams of!
Won't make a difference, because clubs would just buy players with huge transfer sell ons then just give their signing a new contract within a week to void the sell on. Contract between City and Everton wouldnt change, only between city and stones
John stones made 6 completed dribbles in CL final - last player to do that... Messi, in 2014/15! Not bad for a defender! Best defender in world football at the minute and when united fans are saying it, it must be true hes basically a hybrid CB/CM/AM
