    I fear we're going to end up signing some reight dregs. If we do, Johnson will be sacked by Christmas.

    Whilst I'm not worried, I do have to say that I think our reason for failing last season was that we started the season with a very very lightweight and inexperienced squad. By the time we got players in and fully match fit we were always playing catch up.

    Bringing the right players in is not a quick job, players won't be knocking the door down to come here it's not as though we have a lot to offer, top four budget my arse, massive crowds, big wages, great atmosphere, patience, big names already here, friendly fans, I could go on.
    Just wait give LJ a chance and a bit of time

    Our new manager has at least discarded those who would not have progressed us.

    But I could have done that.

    Remains to be seen whether he's up to the more challenging aspects of the job.

    I meant invested on the squad.

    Maybe the club should say to the fans - renew in April so we can if the interest on your money rather than you.

    The problem is not investment or lack of. The problem is starting from scratch every preseason. So instead of adding to the team with a few key players we have another new manager who wants to bring in his 'own players' dismantling the team and not developing or improving it. This cycle shows no sign of being broken. As manager after manager is hounded out by a vocal minority. Maybe we should approach the manager we are going to get in to replace Johnson in January and ask him who he wants to sign when he becomes manager and sign those players.
