Excellent player who never hid when things weren't going his way, and by all accounts conducted himself brilliantly off the field as well. Gave us 6 years of his career in an era where loyalty in football is severely lacking. A great servant for BFC. I can only wish him all the very best in his future career, and I'd be surprised if most BFC fans didn't think the same.

It's rightly being hailed as a decent move.

Can't fault his commitment. I think the championship may well be a step too far for him personally. I would have wanted better if we had gone up.

A Championship quality wing back who will do well for Portsmouth provided they play him at wing back. It was criminal playing him at centre half last season given the number of goals he was involved in the year before. Being made captain probably didn't help either as he doesn't strike me as being a 'born leader', but certainly never went missing.

Thanks for your efforts in a red shirt Jordan, over the past 6 years.

They are cos he’s on a free transfer.

Didn’t ever see anyone come knocking for him if it involved paying a fee.

Good luck to him. Was a good servant to BFC. He moves on with my best wishes.

100%. Don't see how any reds fans could not wish him well.

Good Luck to him, he'll be ok as long as they don't make him captain and they don't play him at CB.

I didn't see him last year, but prior to that I thought he was a really solid player for us. I think the disappointment is we haven't got a fee for him at a time we desperately need it.

Best of luck to him for the future and hope he does well for his new club.

So the first of the "they're useless and I'm glad we're shut" brigade gets a gig in the division above.

    Good luck Jordan.

I'm pretty sure Preston were keeping tabs on him when he was still under contract.

Or - a club that can see past his poor form when constantly played out of position and recognise his ability as a right back or wing back?

I never thought he was bad, but never expected him to be a regular, let alone club captain, so he exceeded my expectations.

I'm glad he's got a good move back to the Championship. He's already got over 70 appearances at that level so I can see him flourishing at that level now he has a little more experience.

He cost us nothing (or very little) and it was a pleasure to see him develop over the last few seasons. He was selfless last season though I think the captaincy weighed a little on him but he was always professional and always gave 100%. Portsmouth are getting a good versatile player at a good age. If Callum Brittain can play at that level then I have no doubt Jordan can.

We have previously rejected bids for him if I remember right. Preston were apparently long time admirers.

Some of us have had to move to different towns and even countries, staying in hotels etc, all our working lives. It was my choice, as it is his, but more often than not you have to follow the work to get on.

In an Article with the Chron last summer, Neerav Parekh said we'd turned down bids for both Williams and Kitching. There's also reports we turned down bids from Preston in the window before that for Williams.

And they're just the public ones.

Good luck Jordan, I hope he rediscovers some form , but he's got the experience of championship relegation scraps that may well stand him in good stead for next season. Always gave his all in a reds shirt which is all I ask for!

Personally I'm glad it's a championship club that's come in for him. Last thing I want next season is to see players we hoped would do well facing us at other clubs in league 1 this season. Hopefully cadden will go to Scotland and Cole finds a low end championship club to go to.
