You might not want to reach for the rooftops and rejoice, but this is pretty inaccurate right? You do realise that?

Is she Martin Nettleton's alter ego?
In a Paul O'Grady/Lily Savage kinda way?

I think today’s announcement is excellent and although I’m used to dealing with any announcement with caution.
My immediate question (of many) is who is Julie Anne Quay?

Not sure I follow ? I want them to engage fans, say what the strategy is in terms of player recruitment I.e. scrap the spreadsheet and set a manager on with experience of English Football not sure what you are suggesting is inaccurate?? Unless this happens my position won’t change there won’t be a season ticket renewal.

Australian - from Melbourne to New York - she'll love it here!

Should be some straight talking now with her and Jean on the Board.

According to the guy who introduces her on the video at the top of the thread it's
    "Dearne Valley Par.." :)

You said 'Until we see a statement of intent and a decent appointment as coach nothing has changed'.

This is incorrect. Even without a new head coach and any kind of statement of intent, a fair amount has changed today. I doubt we'll be sending e-mails to Wigan asking if we can ground share for one.

Just out of interest whats wrong with the spreadsheet as a tool for buying players - it was working reasonably well until Conways 2 periods in charge when we signed useless players who werent on it.
Same goes for an English manager we did pretty well with Stendell Struber and Ishmael I dont recall us being overly enthusiastic with quite a few English managers we have had over the years or do you want Keith Hill back? or maybe Simon Davey

I agree if the strategy is only to act as a player factory thats not a great plan and the one we seemed to be following but there is nothing wrong with identifying players and bringing them in to develop - and we need to sell some players if we want to make ends meet

I very much doubt Jean Cryne has the same views as Paul Conway regarding what success is and will be much more aligned with the ones Patrick had
As for Ms Quay - I guess she will be concerned with the money input by the investors but running the club into the ground doesnt work for them either

I dont expect miracles but I definitely am more hopeful than I was when I actually did renew

Its your choice if you renew or not that is your decision but a lot has changed straight away , Conman & Lee are no longer running the show , that in itself is a dramatic change , Jean Cryne is on the board , someone we can all relate to , that also is a big change.

Great post, agree with all of that.

Patrick started the idea of bringing youth in and developing them. He was fed up of journeymen not performing.

Patrick also realised that the club is limited in self-sustainability, and this model could work, with tweaks as required, to support the club financially.

Without someone ‘gifting’ the club millions each year, then this process will have to continue.
