    Probably is the case

Have to take tough decisions that a lot of people won't like.

I didn't like much of what Thatcher did, but the power that the unions held needed curbing, reform was certainly needed. I didn't like the way she went about it and she went too far the other way.

Harold 'Billy' Wilson was easily the funniest...

...peering through a smokey, beer and sandwich ridden room - made me laugh anyway.

Good on Maggie for getting the unions to tow the line but after that it's a close call. Primarily because they are all much the same.

Hesletine would have made a decent PM I reckon.

    Thatcher - Greatest Ever

What a great lady, so many achievements I don't know where to start.

She did a lot for business and the economy smashing the trade unions and the GLC. Me and my mates certainly enjoyed the Yuppy lifestyle that her policys brought us. I made a packet on all those share sell offs as well!
She taught the miners a valuable lesson didn't she? (And the Argies for that matter)
She fought hard for our rights and didn't pander to Europe like so many of these modern politicians. We won't be able to fart soon without permission from Brussels.

I shed a tear when she left office to be honest.

BBS - I'm Proud of you all!!!!!

Just been through this mega thread and happy that it confirmed the following:

1 - Southerners are slow on the up take when it comes to humour and sarcasm.

2 - Southerners are however a lot much quicker at trotting out all the Northern cliches which we have heard a million times already and don't get any funnier.

3 - Southerners need to attempt to take the piss out of Northerners as a means of detracting from their own lack of intelligence and sense of humour.

All in all BBS, you have given this spotty little *onanism* practicing teenager a bit of an hammering. Long may it continue on the pitch on Saturday!

LoadsamoneyRangers* you won't know what that word means as there are more than 2 syllabels but I'm sure you practiced it a hell of a lot. Dictionary maybe required - if you can manage to put 'both hands down' from what you are doing that is.
