Re: Ever thought they have been selling really well ? thus the low stock ?

Wouldn't normally pass comment on this, but it has to rank up there with some of the worst customer relations ****-ups in business history. Your first game of a brand new season, feelgood factor evident everywhere, hope & expectation highest for a long time, biggish crowd, cracking weather and dozens, if not hundreds of folk making their first trip to Oakwell in a while.......so you stock up on everything, right? All the shirts, in all the sizes?? New customers, eager to get behind the team and part with some coin?? Ah, well, right, er y'see.....

This has to trump anything Dennis, Rowing, whoever could have come up with. It beggars belief.

Careful. The professional supporters have already decided its not a legitimate "complaint".

No he isn't denied it because the shipment that came in was so small that they have once again sold out of some sizes, 6 looks to be about right as to how many came in.

I was there at around 9.45 there were plenty of shirts on display, looked to be all sizes, home & away. That was just in the shop, wouldn't know how many they had in the stock room.

There was just one little stack of them hung up and about three thrown on the floor behind the counter. Sue, the manager, told me herself that they were out of certain sizes. Must have had a delivery in afterwards or something.

Must have then mate, the amount I saw was just what you'd expect to see at any club shop or sports store anywhere.

What disappoints me most about the clubshop is the lack of range in things they sell. There were quite a few different training tops and things like that but absolutely nothing in the way of tshirts or things with a decent design on.

As far as I'm aware neither the shirt stock levels or the range of stock would be the clubs fault. It's the fault of just sport in my opinion.

Previously when it was to do with the club that reason was incorrect anyway. They used to stock so little simply because the budget was so small that if they had £5k (for example) worth of replica shirts then they had no money left to stock and shorts. It was nothing to do with not being able to sell them and was simply that those in charge of budgets wouldn't give them enough to stock the shop. As told by the club shop manager.

There were no large home shirts in at opening this morning. One sale down there.

Never happened when we ran shop I don't think.

Looked to be about 2 long sleeve shirts in the club shop. Poor when we've around 11,000 potential customers arriving with cash to spend while the feel good factor is still around. Hopefully we get Just Sport to explain the poor customer service.

Went in the club shop specifically to buy a shirt at 2pm (first time Ive been in for a couple of years), none available in med, large or x large so no purchase, whenever ive had them posted in the past theve always had to be returned so as i wont be in Barnsley for a while now no point getting one, will just go and buy a Morecambe one on Tues night now,
also couldnt believe how limited the stock/available items were now.....
as has been said the feelgood factor was there, there were lots of potential buyers there today when I was in the shop who left without purchasing anything....
