    what a load of rubbish.

you certainly don't speak for me. bfc have got nothing to apologise for - it appears to me that everything has been done above board and in the correct manner and i'm sure they'll be properly compensated.

    dear me. (shakrhead)

Even thiefs have a code of conduct.........they don't rob from their neighbours.......it seems......

...................football chairmen DO NOT have the same dignity

And I'm not the only one thinking this way...........a few people over the last few days have said this to me without any prompting from me

    AND..................!!!!

When you look and see what rotherham have been through this last few years it beggers beleif that we should be robbing them right now

If you disagree with my suggestion of a gentlemens agreement between local clubs..............then just put yourself in a Rotherham fans shoes for just 2 minutes - how do you see Barnsley now???

    End of the day nudge

football is a competative business, i could give a **** if we poached Rotherhams manager or 1/2 dozen eggs as long as it gets results.

Do you think the Rotherham fans will feel the same as you if the approach another local teams manager??

    NO will they ****.

As mentioned above they'll just get on with it like we did when we lost Wilson, Redfearn, Higgy, Ward, Shipperley & Howard

You can put yourself in whoever's shoes you like - I'm a Barnsley fan

...none of this artificial 'how things should be' rubbish. it always has been this way and it always will be. Tommy Taylor was possibly (probably) the best striker we ever had, but he went to Man United. Ashely Ward went off to Blackburn. Hignett went the same way... there is an order to these things (which fluctuates over time) you have to accept when you stand in the scheme of things and do what is right for your club. This is one of the rare circumstances where we are the bigger and more attractive side, usually the boot in on the other foot. Yes I was beside myself when Wilson left - and yes I'll probably always hold it against Wednesday - but I accept that this is the way of things, we'd got relegated and they could still offer Premier League football and money at that time. The pragmatic side of me shrugged and said 'this is how things are'. In contrast to the Danny Wilson situation, I think you'll agree that everything has been conducted out in the open in a clear and transparent fashion.

As for things being conducted honourably - I'm sure that the Rotherham chairman doesn't want to lose his management team - but I'm equally sure that he won't have any arguments or issues with the way they have been approached - which is well above board.

You need to get real mate. I'm here for Barnsley football club - there have been no crimes committed here - who are you here for?

Its just what happens in football, always has and always will. Robins is ambitious and if he does a good job with us is likely to move on.
I support Barnsley and dont really care about Rotherham. If taking their manager helps us then its harsh but thats the way it is.

    Eh....?

It always amuses me when someone like David Moyes start moaning that Man U or Man City have pinched their best players - yadayadayada - where did you get your best players from Moyes? Plucked them from thin air? Get a grip, Wilson went to Wednesday's for the money and the chance to manage in the Prem, Howard went for the money and a bigger club with a chance to get in the Prem - 90 minutes away, don't forget. Robin's will come to Barnsley because we are under-achieving and 2 divisions above where he is now, them's the fact of life, get used to it.

    In Fact

Did you expect the SUFC fans to apoligise after siging Howard?

You wanted to break his legs didn't you?

Do you expect the millers fans to do the same to Robins?
