    We just called in

After going for a drive. I've passed the pub goodness knows how many times going to and from work, yet today was the first time I've ever been in.

    went there several years ago

when my Mum was alive, took her on Mothers day, and it was great then. In fact I do recall having the Steak and Ale pie myself, if my memory serves me well.

    Normally

I'm not a fan of pub grub. But this was properly cooked & to a very high standard, the menu was varied and the portions were substantial.

you have to shop around with 'Pub Grub'.. too many have franchised

to harvester like companies... that normally becomes almost like a fast food outlet. Its worth looking about and finding pubs that are "home made" as it were.. then you get a cracker of a meal.
