New coaches is going to be Murray and Redfearn. Not sure how true it is but they sound adamant that is the case. Definitely not what I want.
Some questions....... Who said this? As a partnership? Or Redfearn as Head Coach and Murray as his assistant?
One of lads has been told by someone he says is ‘very rarely wrong’ and to your other question.. I have just asked him. Awaiting response
I suppose they think bringing Redfearn in will.appease the fans. I don't see him as a yes man though so presumably they will let him have some experience?
It was onTyke Talk on Facebook also that there had been no interviews but if that were true who appointed Redfearn if the Murray / Redders story is true
Why would prince redders be a good enough coach in the championship over all the other options out there? I’m not saying it’s wrong it’s just that it would be an extremely puzzling choice.
Redders was a good fit for Barnsley, he's worked with young players (including Mowatt) and could do a good job if given the time by the owners and supporters. Don't know owt about Adam Murray. Whoever picks the team on Saturday, needs our support.
Redders record....... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Redfearn#Late_playing_career_and_early_managerial_career Lower league, non league and ladies football. A win record of just one in three and doesn't stay in any of his positions for too long. It appears he's never spent a full year at any of his 8 clubs and a number of them just a few months at a time. Adam Murray has a even lower win percentage and looks really under qualified to take control of a struggling championship club...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Murray Please let this rumour not be true.
Well if we’re playing a youth team, may as well have youth team managers. maybe they’re going For a Roy of the rovers style fairytale, youth team set up wins premier league
Owners are committed to youth policy, so new manager has to sign up to that. Stendel didn't (fully). Assuming we can get Dougall, Cavare and Diaby on the pitch, I think we're likely to pick up more points up to Christmas than Stendel's 3 from 30 over the last 10 games.
Hasn’t Redders done some fairly recent TV punditry about us and mentioned about our lack of experience? Should be interesting if he does get appointed in some capacity
Sounds strange to me. Normally the manager/coach picks his back room staff?? The position is not going to interest many if you are told who your no2 is. (That’s if I’m assuming right)
Well if you are going to lurch from one disaster to another that would be a good way to start.( Sack ?) a well loved qualified manager, issue a shitty short statement and then isolate the fan base by stupid arrogant silence. Then put our new Championship status at risk by putting it in the hands of 2 inexperienced men with little or no( successful) management inexperience. Truly hope it’s not true but given the activity to-date.......
Who do you have faith in that are realistic targets? To me someone with some experience of the championship is better than none and do you think there is someone out there with greater ability who would actually come? I ask, because I think it is more likely we will appoint an unknown foreign coach with no experience of the championship - so I tend to assess the possibility in this context
