    Martin O'Neill studied law at Queen's in Belfast although he didn't actually graduate, instead choosing to to play for Forest. His above average brainpower often led to clashes with Cloughie who could never get the better of him. O'Neill would often tell BC that he was better than Forest and should have stayed back home where he would have been loaded as a lawyer and legend has it that he was presented with one way tickets back to Belfast by his boss on one particular occasion and his bluff was called.

    Steve Coppell (as mentioned above) has an Economics degree from Manchester Uni (like me) - about the only thing we have in common though.

    And I know you said managers, not players, but there's a South American player currently at Liverpool who is said to be the most intelligent / qualified player ever in the Premier League (has 2 degrees, I believe). Maybe someone know who it is?
