Started in 1968 or so

When we got promoted to the old 3rd division. Only a kid so couldn't afford a season ticket. Still it was only 6d (old pence) to get in as I remember.

Had season ticket from about 1980 until end of 2003/2004 season when I knew I was moving to Germany, including 5 years with executive club season ticket.

Still go to matches when I'm over, will be at Cardiff and certainly not a "glory supporter" Hope this qualifies me as a true fan.

Started in 1978 although first game was a couple of years before that I think.
Season ticket holder since about 1994 I think - a season or 2 after the East Stand was opened anyway, cause my mate who had a season ticket for Ponty End took up the offer to transfer for remainder of season to East Stand at no extra cost....he decided to stay there so I used to go when my shifts permitted and sometimes couldn't get the seat near them, as I found I was only missing 4 or 5 games a season with work I decided it was worthwhile getting a season ticket.

One thing that comes from this is

how many give up season tickets when they are students and live away.

Isn't it time for a discounted student season ticket so that people don't lose the habit.

Or a student discount card ie say £40 or so at the start of the season and match day tickets can then be bought at half price ?

Last thing we want IMO is to lose touch with the future workforce.

    Opinions ?

agreed, I would go to the games if it was cheaper because then I could afford the ticket and train cost! Although because most students need to work weekends something beneficial is required on match day tickets as well as you suggested as they may struggle commiting to a season ticket!

Been going since 1994, at the age of 15. A 2-0 win over WBA in October was the start of my regular attendance. Had been to a few big games prior to that.

Not presently a season-ticket holder. I can't really justify it because of my shift patterns. I go when I can, and have been doing much better since Christmas thanks to a colleague who is happy to regularly swap Saturdays.

1967 ish - my first match I remember spud murphy was at right back and got sent off - looked exactly the same when he came on last week as a legend

had half a season ticket from the season in the premier league but the rest of the time I pay at the door - live too far away and cant always get

several times when I have lived abroad usually 3 years at a time and occasionally when I get fed up - but usually weaken an come back for more

    Good post ...

    Been supporting since 85.

Had a season ticket since the season before promotion season.

Stopped going to games for a brief period of 18 months when I was skint and had to make a decision on spending money on the bird at the time or footie ... I do hope you can all forgive me for the foolish choice I made.

Had a season ticket since it finished with her though, so I've paid 'em back!!
