Has he got his own transport ??

My milage sky rocketed when my lot were at Uni. Trouble with having kids at 2 year intervals, at school you become like part of the school furniture with parents evenings etc, then when they are at college you realize how skint you are . Takes years to recover... Then it starts again..they,re getting married, having kids.. thats when you laff.. THEN ITS THERE TURN.......... Yesssssssssssssss

He's wanting to get a bike

But I can't see it happening for quite a while yet .
As to the grandparenting bit , as long as it's some time in the distant future , I'll bide my time patiently . Then it's payback time !!!!!!!!

Re the bike my eldest got a bike

in the days when there were grants (thank god) and there was also a public transport allowance. He made quite a bit of spends riding into uni on his bike instead of public transport... What with that and working in a kitchen in the evenings (free plonk and grub) he did OK as I seem to remember.... The girls however(Baby) were a totally different matter.... did I see someone the other day talkig about Dads and little fingers....
