i didn't say you did. i just think your concerns could be a bit more constructively put - they come across a bit you know, negative and a tad unrealistic.

you must be aware that we can't just go and shell out 4-500k and 6/7k a week on a striker?

i think AR is going to try and get a striker if he can - unlikely one who can guarantee goals at this level because that would cost too much. shipps would be ideal - but can we afford him? i doubt it. it might end up being a young lad on loan from the prem we have to take a risk on, maybe that lad from middlesborough?

i think he will also keep a bit of money if we need it come half way through the season and are struggling. he's also got to show some loyalty to those players who took us up last year which i think he will do.

Basically you want reassurances that you are right so you talk to people who agree with you-well 90% anyway-but an opinion can never be right by definition</p>

I spoke to someone who was going to give Barnsley FC a million quid just for the laugh but he was concerned at the lack of signings so he didn't.</p>



That has as much credence as your 'stories' of people who were going to buy season tickets but didn't.</p>

I'm trying to understand the logic behind your posting C.T. only because I do not think that anyone is wanting the club to throw money around. I do believe however that the fan base are able to recognise that money is tight and that careful thought must be given to how money is spent as apposed to throwing it around. It is obvious though how much we are in need of a quality or at least a reasonable striker. I do think that your responses are sometimes over the top when a board member is attempting to get a discussion going. We do need a striker. There must be some out there who would fit our bill. I like many others would expect money to be made avalable if one should become available. Remember what Patrick said. The thread which was started by Y.N. I believe was in my opinion one which highlighted that big big problem from last season of us not having a "Goodenough" striker. In otherwords the status quo continues to exists which means the strike force is all but the same as last season. I just hope that Richie and the board do something about it. That, in my opinion is not whinging. It is a comment based upon my observations of how I see the team at present

I would say we need the backbone strengthening
2 experienced centre halves - Morgan and Mackay (Watford)
1 midfielder that can make things happen - Teddy Sheringham
2 experienced forwards - Shipperley / Horsefield plus a loan signing

thats what young nudger posted a week ago.

in my opinion that is suggesting that we throw money around. because the wages between them 4/5 plus a loan signing would be in excess of £40,000 a week.

that is unrealistic

and then we'll get the moaning when it doesn't happen.We do need a striker - everyone , including AR knows that. But lets be realistic about it eh.
