    It's a great post that. I don't necessarily have the same optimism and I personally believe we're taking an awful lot of ****, but I agree whole heartedly with the sentiment. I love being a Barnsley fan and I'll be there for the next game and the next and (hopefully) for hundreds more to come, whether we're good, bad or indifferent.

    Sums it up really.

    Due to my job I don't get to as many games as I'd like, but the success of the team has never had much impact on whether I attend or not.

    I started off in 74 & had 5 years of Iley, before the great Clarke / Hunter eras. Really all the way through to the Spackman period was a great time.

    Since then we know football finances have changed.

    Still love the club, although I am beginning to realise we may have to accept we are a L1 side, that may have the odd few seasons in the Championship.
    In the long run things may change. Football wasn't fashionable in the 80's & early 90s & we were quite a big club, based on attendances then.
