DACS, thats exactly what he said although he did say they might deny it. The cnuts are trying to extort over £300 out of me for a service I've never used. I'll be seeing them in court. Thanks for clarifying (Y)
Just a bit more info for you on it though, we can't actually provision the broadband service on a customers line until the DACS has been removed or work completed. Not sure how they can claim that they've provided the service if it's found yours is a DACS line. To get it sorted we send all the details to BT who then review if they will install a line on it's own. Sometimes they reject the case on the grounds it would be too expensive. Best to contact them to talk through it first.
Ive recently change my internet from BT to Virgin. I was on 8Meg BT Broadband, but could only recieve 2 and half Meg due to my area. Virgin give me 10Meg and i download at 10Meg. They both cost me the same aswell. BT Broadband is toss!
They have charged me for line rental for the whole contract period, hardware and wait for it... set up costs. I couldnt stop laughing. Told them to stick their contract and service up their arse and have refused to pay them a penny. I told them I didnt mind paying the line rental but only when they got Broadband working which they and subsequently talk talk have failed to do. Not one person at either support centre mentioned DACS - like i said it was a mate of a mate who told me. He reckons it's quite common but BT didnt freely reveal the information to customers.
