RE: My Take On The Situation.

I for one understand what you are saying and if it 's true then Andy(king cannute)Ritchie is doing himself no favours and I just wonder if,those of you who are ready to react to his possible dismissel, are looking at the wider picture.

Players suggested by the board to Ritchie who have been available are , Shipperley, Horsfield, Gareth Taylor, Jack lester Micheal bridges, Sam Parkin,Kevin Horlock ,John Oster, and even Bruce Dyer, and others
A conversation with Ritchie about bringing Chris Morgan back to Barnsley on loan was that Ritchie said Morgan was to old at 31!!! he was then corrected and told Morgan was 28, that is how "aware" ritchie is of the market place

RE: What's there to "turn around"?

I and others expect a place in the bottom half at the end but outside relegation, its when we dominate games as we have and then made schoolboy lapses that you then realise that 2 or 3 esperienced heads who have been there and done it can make a difference and if Ritchie wont admit that then his judgement in THIS league has to questioned.

Not even a bite, people pass on what they hear on this site , some true , some not true, and some opinionated, but at the end of the day we are all fans at heart and want whats best and try to contribute, if you wish to comment on posts then great but please do not disrespect people who have shown no malice to yourself of your opinions .
i have no wish to be childish as you should have no reason to be either.

    If that is true....

Which i dont believe it is... then expect gates to seroiusly drop, mutiny towards the board etc etc

If would be absolute madness to get rid of Ritchie. The job he has done for this club is simply outstanding. I honestly dont think anybody else could have done a better job than what he's doing at the minute.

The football he's got us playing down here is absolutely magnificant. We dont need to chop and change managers every year or so. We all know that its gets us abolutely knowhere, you've just got to look back to 2002, 2003, 2004..

Give the man a new contract. He deserves it.

I agree that it would be a big mistake to get rid of Ritchie, however Ritchie is also a small part of a decision making process at the club, and what we have is a difference of opinions as how we keep the club going forward, i also think that if relagation is a possibility then you will see a big shift in fans opinions.

That is quite true. I get the feeling that there is backing for the players certain people fancy (ie the ones you have listed) but when it comes to signing who AR names ie Constantine, we have not got the same funds to make it happen.

Shipperly is on 8k a week at Sheffield united, GS and PC offered to subsidise Shipperlys wages for a 3 month period for 6k per week, the sums were done that the extra revenue from gates reciepts would help the extra wages

If you are suggesting that either GS or PC are in this for financial reward then I'd say you are way, way off the mark. I'd also be careful chucking around such suggestions because they are very protective of their reputations.

If they got rid of Ritchie, it would need to be part of a larger more elaborate plan...

...if it was to work in any positive sense. By that I meant that it would need to be part of a planned investment that lined up a proven manager combined with substantial financial resources, and a list of new experienced players. For it to be in anyway in the interests of the club to dismiss Ritchie, someone would need to be willing to spend £10 - 15 million minimum. If they're just getting impatient, and they're just talking about letting Ritchie go to see what else they could secure by way of a manager - sorry but that would be ********. Just foolish. Even if there was £10 - £15 million being put on the table, I'd be inclined to give it to Ritchie and I wouldn't be ready to change manager. With the players that he has, and the resources he has been given, he has done better than I would expect of him to be honest.

Needless to say, I can't see where they'd get that substantial amount of money from , so it's all hypothetical in any case.

Utter ballaks I'm sure that would be the single most shortsighted decision a board has ever made.

    RE: F*****g rubbish

We are skint. Talk of such players coming - forget it. If Ritchie had had money available, he would have retained McPhail and brought in Chopra. It wasn't, so here we are reading rubbish speculation.
