    I mean, if he hears that I have stolen his thunder by breaking the happy news - that's the news of one of the happiest days of his life- , he will undoubtedly be furious.

    I was truly underwhelmed by his announcement.

    "Date for your diary .......

    We're going to do the marriage thing.

    Bring the kids ... if you like

    They can have a late night - if they want."

    "Ok, congratulations etc etc we're coming."

    " .... Well let me know if you want to come, it's not a big thing..... you don't have to."
