Calm down love. I caught you out twice authorising on subjects you know **** all about. Grow up and live with it. It'll never get better if you keep picking it young un.
Don't tell me, you've done a little course onfootball managementas well.

There are a few big differences in the team now compared to those... against Liverpool and Chelsea. Against Liverpool we saw an amazing performance in goal by a lad called Luke Steele. He went on to perform very well for all the games he's played since for Barnsley. He was then dropped, without any good cause, and hasn't had a chance since despite his replacement making numerous errors that have cost us goals and games. The scorer of the winning goal at Anfield was Brian Howard. Maybe we had no choice in letting him go, but we have made no attempt to replace him with an attacking midfielder that can score and create goals. It should be no big surprise to anyone that we're struggling when we don't replace a player of that calibre. Martin Devaney created the other 2 goals we scored against these clubs yet now he doesn't get a look in. It's no surprise to me that we're really struggling to score goals when we play with three central midfielders at the expense of a creative player like Devaney. These are all decisions made by the manager, which I believe have had a very big impact on our position in the league.
Good advice Poet. Don't get too wound up.
You'll end up eating yourself away like this poor, obsessed little ******.

Actually, I agree with ALL those points Jay. But, I believe that the players out on that pitch currently, are GOOD enough to get the job done. Correct me if I'm wrong? Anyways, thanks for the good, solid argument. I'm off to the pub. Have a good night all.
A business administration course.
Then you get to tell all the grown-ups how to run a football club.

RE: Windy - another quality, stunning statement from yourself. I'm sorry but Davey has not had a shoestring budget, he has had a lot to spend compared to other managers! You only have to look at the jobs Brian Laws and Sean O Driscoll have done with no money to spend and those clubs are mid table. Davey should be getting so much more out of his squad and he isnt.
Davey has not had a shoestring budget. What Ballacks. In financial terms for Barnsley he has had the moon delivered on a stick. He has chosen to have 3 wingers in the squad, one of them our best player and then decides to play 3 across the middle. Then he chooses to play one of the many misfiring strikers on the wing and leave talented players on the bench. This his Davey's squad. He trains, picks and managers the team week in week out - unfortunately. He is the one who is very much in the belief of not losing at costs. He has signed every single player in that team bar one. He has failed to sign players, mostly strikers to improve our position. He is the one who fell out with his signings and failed to pick them for the better of the team. He is the one who has managed to turn perfectly competent players for mid table in this division into ***** that probably deserves to be relegated. If you sign players from abroad that have no connection or understanding of what football means then the person that signs so many of them has to take the blame. Im of the firm belief that with another manager at the helm these players would be a very good mid table championship side. For sure, he cant take the blame for everything. Youve mentioned 14 extra points we could have had. I could also name more games and more points where negative performances where they were related to **** poor tactics and inability to make obvious changes. Sorry Poet - its commendable how you are sticking with Davey, and he could still save us yet. Problem is, if we go down he will justifiably be at fault for that.
RE: Davey has not had a shoestring budget. What Ballacks. Couldn't agree more matey, you put it better than me!
I do not think Davey is upto the task of pushing the club forward, regardless of financial constraints. However, the abuse he gets from quarters on here is above and beyond. I cannot recall Parkin, Hodges or Spackman getting this level of abuse. This board at times sounds very much like the old washday forums when they first got back into th championship giving it a 'god given right'. It seems that people have short memories and would rather the club broke the bank for a striker(s), A full back etc and risk vanishing into oblivian. There has even been abuse directed at Cryne from odd persons on this forum. I tell you now, if Cryne pulls the plug we'll have the biggest ground in the conference.
What a wanka you come onto this board to talk sense and post facts ?? You will have upset the fantasy mob who think we have gates of 22k every week and are unlucky not to be in the prem dont forget we only went down cos of the refs ganging up.
Macken scored his first goal in 18 games today. EIGHTEEN. not good enough. Davey picks the team mate and ultimately he is the one responsible. The number of late goals we have conceded under him is bordering on the ridiculous.
One of the golden rules - dont make a subsititution when defending a set piece Which I said once I realised what Davey was doing chaos ensues in our box and they score - quality One other thing why when we go a goal up do we then stop trying to score we dropped almost everyone back and even when we cleared the ball instead of rushing out and trying to hit them on the break which we had been doing up to the goal everyone stayed back on the 18 yard line. 2 more points squandered by being negative. Its a shame because we should have had all 3 points today they were there for the taking Has Mifsud got a must play clause in his contract by the way - his contribution today was the usual zero. Quite what Boggy must think being substituted whilst he stays on the pitch I can only guess
