True fan ?!?!? hahahahahahahah..............that's just outstanding Jim Boy. :True Fan: phrase. Adj / Noun. A member of the public who purchases a season ticket and then sits in the stands shouting abuse at the players he/she pretends to support. Can only be seen / heard as a fan when results go their way and even then shows little or no encouragement. A cheque book Charlie that believes money buys one the right to call themselves a "True Fan" Rarely seen on away games. Other descriptions: - Johnny Come Lately Billy Boo Boy ------------------------------- Chump.
in what sense? Am i not a true fan as i pay on the gate and attend games as i can? or should i lose a days wage twice amonth to go to games?
No your NOT a true fan. True fans pawn their daughters toys and peddle their arse on Eldon Street to get to a game. FFS ! Didn't you know that?
I could start arguing with you about how long I've been going to oakwell and how many grounds and games I have been to but I won't because its pointless All that matters is the club needs money for next season - I'm putting it in - you're not End of Ask the club who is more valuable to them
You are unfortunate for a number of reasons but as far as I am aware if you really wanted to go to more than 3 games a season you could
No no please. Go on, tell me how long you've been a true fan. I'd love to hear about it. I bet it's since the Premiership season then mebbies lost a bit of interest when we went down to league 1 and then, suddenly! back in the Championship and Jimmy wants to be a true fan agean. Were you at Peterborough and Cheltenham a few years back? Were you at Barrow, Southport and workington still further back? Go ooooon tell us the gospel according to Saint Jim the True.
thats a fair enough comment but what would you suggest I would be if say i had a saturday off and couldn't be arsed becuase my 80 hour week has taken its toll. Or I have been invited to attend a Fishing match?
wasn't alive when we played Workington or Barrow but yes I have been to Peterborough, Bournemouth, Yeovil, Bristol City, Rushden, Northampton, Swansea, Cardiff, Wycombe, MK Dons as well as all the northern crap grounds - Wrexham, Stockport, Bury, Morecambe, Scarborough, Alfreton, Hartlepool etc etc I was at the 2-1 win against Brentford the day after we went into admin an all and I was at the 1-0 LDV defeat against Port Vale when about 80 turned up
RE: As far as you're aware???? As in you have not said what's stopping you from going Apathy would be my guess
that's not for me to say - I suppose it would come down to how much someone wants to go or how much they would prefer to do summat else everyone has different priorities and of course I appreciate that but the fact of the matter is that a football club like ours is nothing without its hardcore fans which are by and large the season ticket holders
