    That's a very unfair comparison! I could show you beers in the specialist off licences near me which cost quite a bit more than that, but they've still got a good range around the couple of quid mark. The argument is that there you're paying for something limited, maybe hard to get or special in some way - it's not the same stuff as you can pick up at your local Wetherspoons for an eighth of the price, or whatever.

    Prices in the Sheffield Tap are actually pretty reasonable, as I remember it.

    We are. But you failed to mention what type of beer was being sold at £19 so were just looking for shock value. They're selling bottles of Fullers Vintage 500ml at over £150 in The Parcel yard in King's Cross Station.

    I wasn't making a comparison, I was just pointing out there's beer available for a hell of a lot more than £4/5.

    No shock value intended. I'd rather pay £19 for a decent bottle of beer than £4 for a Fosters.
