Okay. Be interesting Whitey. People will slag it off but people did that anyway. If Barnsley were in it I would be interested in how the clubs will react to it. The European teams could have a lot of games to play. Okay, it was a Liverpool Journo I read say Everton wanted in and would like to play games at Goodison. They apparently have to play one game at one.
Maybe they'll accept. I think it's all rumour right now. Only Man Utd have confirmed their rejection. But I think they're sending a pretty strong message in doing so. When the worlds biggest club with such a reputation for producing young players says no to the idea, others are bound to take note. The likes of Pearson, Fletcher and other United kids sent out on loan last season will have learned a hell of a lot more playing regular, competitive league football than they ever will sat in their academies or playing a couple of JPT games.
Swoosh it's gone over your head again. I would not go to watch us play an u21 team under any circumstances because I would not give a **** about the result and because it's morally wrong and I care more about morals than watching a friendly game which is what they will be. All proper football fans should boycott it. I went to all rounds of the JPT home and away they were proper games. Genuine question it's the final Bournemouth u21s v Middlesborough u21s. What do you think the attendance would be? I'd guess less than 15,000. It's a deeDful money based idea and only the blind cannot see that. Man U are no mugs and they want no part of it.
Man Utd and the other big teams play there U21s in the League Cup and to an extent the early FACup rounds, they don't need the JPT also. F kin stupid idea and boils my pi ss
He also paid a $5m sum last year, a 'corrective' fee or summat. But the truth would have made my moan less moany.
