    I joined the boards predecessor when we went into Admin so it would have been sometime in October 2002 I guess so I have been here about 18 years - I've been Admin on here pretty much since it started though, I think it opened on 13th July 2005 so I've been an admin for over 15 years and I haven't even been given a clock - Gally at least should get one. Dyson - did you ever use the previous board or did you start with this one?

    I thought it got shut down because Tommy T was one of the site subsidisers and when he got "outed" there was dog's abuse every day on the site ending in his infamous "Right to reply" thread. I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back and the rest of the donators decided to call it a day and shut the site down. It wasn't long before the new TT free site emerged although I think TT tried to get back on under the name Lord Raglan but was soon sussed.

    It was shut down because the main admin figurehead of that board - one Chris Corke was found guilty of downloading child pornography and the remaining admins closed it a few days later because the majority of posters didn't take kindly to the association. and in particular the infamous "Right to Reply" post where he admitted to an error of judgement said it would never happen again and asked for forgiveness.
    Gally started this one as an alternative and we all moved over - as Simon De Montforte points out Chris Corke started posting on here "anonymously" under the name Lord Raglan. - That stopped when he was found to be at it again - I have no idea what happened to him after that. as far as I know he never posted on here again but of course its not always possible to be certain.

    I was a member back then and couldn't have Tommy Tyke as my username for obvious reasons. I also kept getting kicked off for lack of use, which wasn't really true. The problem was I never signed in cos I use to do more reading than contributing.

    I started on the previous incarnation of this run by Tommy Pedo.

    I then moved across like everyone else shortly after right to reply.

    A year or so later I became part of Site Admin. I know, me a Site Admin.

    I used to post on Tykes mad but the whole footy mad site got pure *****.
    They wanted money so as to get no ads but if you just wanted to look and post you got bombarded with unwanted and irritating ads.
    I gave up posting on United mad and Tykes mad.
    Been annoying you lot since 13/2/13.
    Never found any real problems with anyone either on here or Tykes Mad.

    We used to have **** and quite a few members of the Norwegian Reds fan club on here in the early days. He probably never recovered from me taking him to the Outpost ‘fresh’ from a night at Gatecrasher.
