    Right guys, I know Gally wouldn't be offended, I just wondered why people said it. Jay explained why from a male prospective and that's fine. I was just wondering aloud, and since realised that this wasn't the best place to put that wondering and apologised. I never at any point thought either of you was trying to insult Gally on his wedding day.

    I'd say the same about me - punching above my weight regarding the missus.

    It basically comes down to a quote I once read, can't remember who said it, but basically it said, a man learns to love the woman he fancies, a women learns to fancy the man she loves.
    Or put more simple, us fellas are basically just shallow and go for looks whereas woman look at the mind.

    Anyway - congrats Mr and Mrs Gally, hope you'll be very happy together.

    I saw them in Meadowhall a couple of months back and she is definitely a looker...........really nice.
    But what I've heard and seen of Gally........he's a decent nice guy

    So its a match

    One bit of advice to him (and to all guys).........she maybe beautiful but don't put her on a pedestal
    Lift women onto a pedestal and they are at an height where they can kick you straight in the teeth
