Agree with the arresting them bit, but banning for life? Bit extreme for somebody who goes regularly, but a fair portion of those on the pitch will have been people who rarely/never come to Oakwell. Is it a punishment? A fine would be more suitable. Personally I think the club need to think of something that stops the idiots getting there in the first place. Plenty of room on the asphalt for something like some rolls of meshing. One question. How do BFC ensure that somebody is banned for life?
what are stewards for? They never seem to even try to stop this kind of thing, just stand there watching, gawping inanely at what is going on around them. Most of the stewards seem to share a brain cell with those that ran on the pitch. Against Ipswich last night was sat up in the East Upper, muppet steward comes and asks to see our tickets, so I show them and he tells us to move up (where I dont know cos the whole row was full). "Why?" says I, cos we are in the correct seats, to which he replys "OK then" and wanders off???? Feckwit stewards.
An effective way of stopping it Would be a ring of police officers around the track with dogs. No idea how much it'd cost but it'd only take a few to get bit to stop the rest!
RE: what are stewards for? Agree wholeheartedly about the stewarding but there isn't enough of them to stop the flow anyway. The solution needs to be something other than manpower because policing/stewarding costs too much to have in a volume big enough to stop it.
