I wasn't going to say but Dyson also knows the story by the sounds of it.

He's had a couple of weeks down at Ipswich & they were having a look at him. No idea if anything will come from it

Why would we let our highly rated young player train with Ipswich. See if they like him. Like Redstar says they should be buying not try before you buy. We gain nothing from that.

This threads genius. Folk slagging off one of our own and then all of a sudden when it's known he's been at Ipswich he's suddenly highly rated and not for sale.

Tyrones opinion is also invalid. I know it's an opinion and he's entitled to it but he's wrong.

He has played for england at every level exept full was training with man u last season so he is highly rated by some. I haven't rated what I've seen that's my opinion. I can't understand why we let our players train with other clubs so they can see if they fancy em. We should just say either make a offer or he is going no where to train.

Yes. But none of the other over 100 pro clubs in England have ever made a bid for him either have they?

Do you honestly think he is the BEST english footballer his age in his position? From any club anywhere in the world, the best in hisnage group?

I asked Johnson about Digby. He reckoned he looks fantastic when the game is at a slow pace. Tons of ability, great touch, lovely passing. But at the speed the game is played in League 1 he just gets caught on the ball and loses out time and again, costing us goals. Pretty much the same observations as the majority of Barnsley fans (other than Tyrone).

However, he also said that due to the many injuries he's way behind in his development. He's 20, but he's only at the same stage as a 17 year old, so there's time. But at the moment he's not up to the speed required for League 1 football.

If he or you thinks that from the game against Fleetwood then I would say there were things behind that.

First of all he needs to play games. He wasn't playing games before that and it told in the end. That WAS wrong from the manager. Someone like Abbott thats a lot smaller in size around 5'10 seems to be able to play on and off. The on and off nature isn't something that any footballers like including top top players Frank Lampard when talking about this on Monday night Football.

Second of all why doesn't he talk about the shocking pass from Scowen in that game. People don't talk about that. When he was with England or Manchester he might have looked good there because there was other players on his wave length.

Thirdly Jay why didn't he talk about Scowen giving the ball away against Everton thinking he would take on a player that read him like a book or Pearson thats done it time and time again or Hourihane or Winnall. Did Lee say why he doesn't slaughter them in press conferences weeks from the game.

Also those that say well X Y or Z manager didn't pick him so he can't be any good. So look at how many managers Harry Kanes had at Tottenham or even more look at Ryan Mason who made a premier league appearance 5 seasons after becoming a professional at Tottenham and going on to play for England.

I've said this before, he'd be world class if we played walking football. But we don't. From what I've seen in full speed mesters football he has 2 main strengths - jogging whilst pointing and losing the ball on the defensive edge of the centre circle. It might sound harsh, and I'd love him to be brilliant, but based on what I've seen it isn't going to happen.
