Drinking culture are you suggesting Davey has an attitude problem cos he's stamped out the drinking culture? I've heard it all now.
RE: Even more embarrassing that's what Gordon said to me when I gave him my £300 last summer there's a few people who are seeing what a **** you really are when I get people to read your posts they always end with "what the ****?" strange that
I've also had the pleasure of meeting Simon Davey a couple of times and he does put himself across well and was great to chat with him. Saying that though I've heard first hand from one ex player and from a coach employed at another club that he does have another side to him. I agree that he should seperate himself from the players, something that previous managers didn't do, but he also needs to look at what is best for the club. Just a comment on Christensen. I don't watch training so can't comment on that but the guy is always hammering the gym prior to a game. Against Sheff Wed & Chelsea I was in the North Stand with a mascot and he was totally going for it. Can't blame him for saying that he deserves a chance after watching some of the *****.
RE: Drinking culture Going out for a beer does not necessarily mean getting drunk. I have heard similar rumours about Davey holding grudges, if it is true is would be the answer to why certain players are left out for no apparent reason without explanation to the fans.
Drinking culture not gone though, players still go out. I agree with the fact he doesn't allow if 72 hours before a game but to say he's completly removed it is far from the truth.
RE: but you don't go to matches? nt I do go to some games when i am well enough, so you're wrong there 'mate'. Sorry i didn't know you had to attend ALL matches to qualify to comment on here. The last comment i made had no bearing whatsover on wether i attend matches or not
I know for a FACT that the players wear heart rate monitors when at Oakwell, and all have individual targets for what to achieve regading fitness, etc. Any omissions from the squad/first team are based on performance, attitude, ability and fitness, not personality conflicts. stamping down on boozing before games is absolutely essential, the Championship is a much much more professional standard than League 1. All the most successful manages have a mean streak, thankfully Davey doesnt suffer fools. He's learning his trade still, but everything I've seen so far indicates he's going places.
Part time fan alert I think you are only allowed to comment if you go to all first team matches - home and away and quite often watch the reserves too Its surprising how many fans seem to do that given our hardcore away following is just over 200
RE: Why are you not so well - Oh dear sorry i didntrealise nt It's personal don't want to go into on here as don't want the sympathy vote. I had to give up my season ticket 2 years ago which i had held since the 2nd season the east stand opened. I will comment on what i want on here so there (neer)
RE: Part time fan alert Sorry didn't see that rule when i joined the board. what about watching the juniors
hey i never i said i went to all home and away games but for folks to slag off the team when they dont go to matches ........
RE: hey i never i said i went to all home and away games Or can't get to matches. well line us all up and shoot us then.
Depends If you want to comment on whether we should have an Acadamy or if its any good obviously you need to go and watch the Junior and Acadamy games. Also helps on comments about Davey as if you watched them when he was in charge your opinion counts double For purely first team matters though its not essential
Up until last Tuesday we had 52 points with 4 games left, having been to Wembley via Anfield and beating Chelsea. despite losing arguably our best 2 players to long term injuries. we've lost the last 2 games in front of our small home following and suddenly Davey is a ****** again. Fickle as f.u_k
RE: Oi I think i've just been awarded it! They make me sick, yes they might go to all the games, but that doesn't mean they love the club anymore than i do. If i could go all the time i'd be there. It's not through choice that i can't attend.
