    I agree. Barnsley is full of out-of-towners. The town centre isn't pretty but Barnsley's a pretty safe, cheap and friendly place to live. I live in Old Town which has plenty of lovely old houses and tree-lined streets. It really annoys me when people bad-mouth the town, especially people from Barnsley.

    Also, if you choose to see all the bad things, you ignore the fact that Oakwell is set right in the middle of the terraces, that we have a beautiful old park in Locke Park and a general lack of the aloof pretension which you find in so many places

    Rotherham town centre has been run down for years, mainly asylum seekers and smackheads hitting their girlfriends, was always going to happen being between Parkgate and Meadowhall, they've also got those lovely Slovakian Gypsies who the council have recently put a course on for, telling them not to throw garbage into the street and go to the toilet in public.
