I remember where l was the day l heard the news that Wilson had fled to the pigs. Balls to the moon landings, when Elvis died etc. Just driving past BMB on Wakey road on the way home from work. B astards.
Re: If we'd have been able to keep Ward, Hignett and Dyer in teh same team... Remember the radio announcement, he was ready with Hendrie to replace him before they announced his departure.
Tough. If that was me l would have packed 53 plate Megane with explosives and drove it straight into back of S6 Kop.
Some great posts to my thread. I agree Steele might be better than Bullock, but that is abart it. The truth is unless there is money behind the team the manager has very limited options. Sad that the money was spent so badly when we had it...
and tomorrow could easily be a reversal of that result I am dreading it, but hey thanks for reminding me of that night.I was there and the goal that Barnard hit on the volley just made me breathless on the night and even in replays of it too.I was awesome.
Me & my Dad used to have season tickets in West Stand - a good view of that goal! My Dad is nearly 80 now & doesn't get down much & I DJ for a living so only get to about 10 home & away in a season, but follow religiously on Player & this site. Was great to see it again, but really rubbed in where we are now. Let's get behind Keith, as there ain't no better option!
