    the second album.....

    ....really seemed to split opinion. I liked it, though I think both albums lean a very lot towards Blur's "Modern Life is Rubbish". Not a bad thing in some ways, though will be interesting to see where they go from here. Not my favourite band but find them pretty listenable all the same. Anyway, the missus loves them, and this is her Christmas present.

    There are a lot of similarities with 'Modern Life...'.

    Saw them in December last year. I'd bought the tickets because I thought my girlfriend liked them and she thought we were going because I liked them. In the end we both really enjoyed it. Nothing really original but a decent gig nonetheless.

    That's what I'm expecting - decent gig, and good day out depending on the weather! To be honest I'm far more looking forward to REM in Manchester later in the year - seen 'em a few times before already, live they just seem to get better and better with age.
