Exactly, he didnt know what he was going to do. So why did he allow him to wander round the penalty area unmarked. As the free kick was taken he was right up his backside, like he should have been. Then he just wandered off, and let him do whatever he wanted.

We won so it's irrelevant, but I hope he learns from it for next year.

I think Kay as improved this season, still not premiership class, but he is one hell of a better player this season than he was last. He will adapt to the Championship.
Also can i congratulate Paul Reid for signing his contract, a loyal player indeed. But a player i would be worried about at making the grade at Championship level, he his prone to making the odd boo-boo, and can't jump more than 3 inches, rarely wins a heading contest with the opposing forwards. But the lad is Barnsley through and through and good luck to him. Bobby Hasell is a very good player, if he had another yard of pace he would be playing in the premiership, lacks pace but could hold his own, and will.
Paul Hecky, loves the club ,but will the club love him come christmas time. Good at going forward but can't tackle.good lad but may stuggle against Quality players.
It's my own oppinion, you may agree or disagree, i think most of the current side will do well, all we need is a quality defender, a tigerish mid-fielder and a 20 goal a season forward and then Barnsleyfc may suprise a lot of fans this coming season.
