Did you think the national newspapers reporting kayode scoring 2 was a disgrace too? If not, what's the difference?
RE: I think it's a dig at a player still contracted to the club I'm sure the fact he's stolen a living off Barnsley football club for the last 3 years will soften the blow.
I'll explain it as I see it and then you can pick faults in my thinking. Over the summer (in fact over the last two summers) virtually everyone connected with the club have been begging each other to get behind Kayode, support his efforts and to give the lad a chance. Most fans did this, but we still had the sarcastic cheers, the applause at shots on target, and then the abuse at full time when he'd missed the one chance that would have sealed us taking some points from the game. Again the club, and some supporters on here, asked us to just get behind him, cut out the sarcasm and negativity, etc. Then the club go and do exactly the same by announcing every goal he scores with a tongue in cheek sarcastic note on the scoreboard. To me that's no difference to the fans starting a sarcastic cheer. The difference between our scoreboard and a national newspaper is that the paper regularly tells you every player who's scored that weekend, our scoreboard sometimes struggles to even tell you the latest scores from our own league. We've never informed the fans of how players out on loan are doing, why start with Kayode?
RE: I'll explain it as I see it I don't see it as a tongue in cheek sarcastic note on the scoreboard. I just saw it as BFC informing us that a player on our books had scored two goals. He had scored two goals so I don't see how it could have been sarcastic or tongue in cheek, just factual. You say we don't do it with other players that go on loan, but when did we last have a player go out on loan who scored? Luke Potter was out on loan last season, but he didn't score any goals. Before that I guess it has been Simon Heslop, but he was on loan at a non league club, so I'm not sure the information that he scored would have even got through to the club during the game. Maybe at some time we have had a forward go out on loan and bang some goals in like Kayode is doing now, but I can't remember it ever happening.
Maybe I'd agree with you if the scoreboard said something like Colchester winning 2-0 and Odejaye hasn't scored or Odejaye has missed a one on one with keeper
He was just crap I can't believe anyone who has seen even half of the 70+ games he's played for us can think anything else. He's dropped down a level and he's doing well, good luck to him, but I hope he doesn't come back.
Stop talking **** If he was actually any good, he'd have scored more one-on-one's, headers etc. The fact is, he isn't. He's piss poor, end of discussion.
he not doing bad at colchester which means he can score. or do they play with big nets. and no league ones not that bad or why is beck ford worth according to leeds fans 5 million.
it just proves one thing doesn't it davey was a **** manager. KO being **** was nothing to do with the fans and you're an idiot if you think it was
If he can't play in front of 8,000 people he's in the wrong business. BTW ive never heard any Monkey noises directed at Kayo either
That Leeds fans are deluded? And yes, there's a massive gulf between the Championship and League 1 - Odejayi's proved that with the 4 goals he's scored in 3 games for CUFC.
so he's played for us 80 times (ish) and you've heard a small group make those noises TWICE and neither of those times have been at oakwell yet you found it acceptable to label all barnsley fans as racist and say that it must be nice for him to play without monkey noises which deliberatly suggested he was on the receiving end regularly from large groups of people. fecking pathetic
his haters never do. Hes playing with some good players and scoring plenty. colchester for promotion. remember were you heard it first.
