just one question just how big a 'Ladies front bottom' do you aim to be in your lifetime its also known as a C U N T or a T W A T... .. you are doing bloody well so far in both descriptions.
Those 12 goals were probably more than he'd scored in the previous four seasons. His record as a striker was and is very poor.
Re: just one question Jokes aside my mate a life long Orient fan who watched Jabo over his 8 years with them gives him a very lukewarm review. Thinks for him to be effective in anyway he needs a quick goalscorer with him. Offers little goalscoring threat himself but decent hold up play and good at bringing others into the game. He thinks it's a really strange move called him the archetypal journeyman. But it's a big move for him we are easily the biggest club he's ever played for and occasionally you can squeeze above average performances out of so some average that basis.
I don't think he's a very inspiring signing either. That doesn't mean he won't be any good, it doesn't mean I won't support him, it doesn't mean I'll get on his back, it just means I've taken the time to have a look at his career and found that he's a 32 year old journey man who has never played higher than the current level, and never with any of the top teams in this division, and split his time equally between this division and the one below. He's a centre forward with over 500 professional games to his name who averages 6.5 goals per season. He's managed to hit double figures once in his career. I don't know how anyone can look at that and think, wow, he looks like exactly what we need. As we're on a football message board, I see nothing wrong with communicating those thoughts. It's not calling him ****, it's just saying we're not that impressed. It's up to Jabo now to prove us wrong. Hope he does, starting this afternoon. Even if he doesn't, it doesn't really matter if we can keep Waring and Winnall fit. So, as far as I'm concerned, what Conan has written isn't really worth a comment, it's pretty much what I thought, and, I would imagine, plenty of others. Except... Why do we almost exclusively compare black footballers to other black footballers? It's not every time, but it happens far too often to just be coincidence. Why don't we just compare them to other footballers? Why isn't this lad Barry Conlon MK II? I'm not pointing the finger at Conan and saying, "Ha! Caught you out, you're a racist!" I'm sure I've done very similar in the past. But why? The thing is, the comparison with Odejayi isn't that strong. We've just signed a bloke coming to the end of his career who never really made it, but can hopefully give us a bit of experience and hold the ball up so our younger more exciting players can benefit from him taking all the hammer. That's not why we signed Odejayi and that's not what we expected him to be. We signed him as one of our younger more exciting players, giving him his chance in the Championship and hoping he'd score goals. It didn't work out like that, but that's why we wanted him, not as someone to hold the ball up. The strong comparison is that they're both black.
We have let one striker go and could do with another for the run in. Probably won't be first choice but LJ sees him as offering something different depending on the opposition and match situation. LJ knows exactly what he is getting having worked with him this season. So I'm perfectly OK with the signing.
Same time that a certain David Perkins was at Edgley Park...It's all coming together, you're Perkins' jilted lover...
