Thing is, on the few occasions they've played up top together they've been gash. I think if it's two up front we need someone with more pace, but having sold Haynes we don't have it
Re: "the attendance today was a Joke".. well why was that then ...SWEET JEEZUS No mate, if it had been £20 or even £25 I would have been there with at least two others. Its the catigory system or rather the A Cat games which are killing attendences. It is becoming easy to stay away when you still have £40 in your pocket at 5 O'clock on a Saturday.
Sorry but youre deluded mate, we haven't the players to play with one up front, we did it first half when we were garbage. As for knocking the ball about thats fine but somewhere along the line youv'e got to look for the killer pass we just passed it about going nowhere until the move broke down. OH and lets not forget not one shot on fecking target in the whole half its little wonder the fans couldn't contain their apathy People ask about why crowds are down, anybody sat in the stands having paid £30 to watch that first half would have every reason to question whether they were prepared to do it again. As for Hill love him or hate him if he was working for me and making statements like that regarding my paying customers he would be in for a harsh lesson on basic economic facts and the biggest bollocking of his life.
So with this group of players assembled on this budget you think we would have had a more succesful season by playing long ball football? And we've been succesful in a number of games playing one up. As I've said elsewhere I think two up front can be used effectively too, but it reduces our capacity to retain the ball which means we are then under pressure. I would love it Davies could hold the ball up like Gray but if he could he wouldn't be playing for us.
I honestly think as soon as a better proposition comes along keefy will be off,,,,for me he hates it at barnsley,I cant come to any other conclusion after listening to all his interviews this season,
I can see us losing another 3 or 4 season ticket holders.....and most of them have contributed to this thread, overall the football has been excellent to watch this season
Re: well firstly.. We coulda had a brand new ground,ok smaller capacity, but perhaps better suited to our fan base. A smaller tighter packed ground would generate better atmosphere. You must mean like the atmospheric Keepmoat!!!
So because Hill implies that fans like you are moaning at him he is inaccurate is he? Beg pardon....? Did you give Vaz Te time? Did you give Perkins time? How about Butterfield's captaincy? Enough time for you? Drinkwater's signing? Surely not good enough. Oh... and the fact that the guy has no 'fecking' money could be thrown into the equation as well.....Then again, nah.... there's never enough time for a fan who wants instant Barcelona on crap income and a crap fanbase is there?
So thereev, we sack hill. And flicker. And everyone else. And pay their compo. Who do we bring in to replace them? Mick McCarthy? Alan curbishley? I'm sure they'll come for whatever is left in the budget after hillcrofts severance. And I'm sure they'll do much better on a budget of £10.50 and a toffee crisp. And they will also sing the praises of the fans, who don't turn up, or do turn up but sit in silence until they have an opportunity to boo. And instead of being honest in interviews they will chat the usual ****** that means nothing but sounds good.... For ****'s sake what exactly are your expectations for a club with the gates we get?
Not at all never I just couldnt see where you were coming from ie why having 2 up front at home means we have to stop passing the ball about and resort to playing lon balls. We had one up front first half yesterday and it was awful,he changed it second half and it was way better
I don't blame him with fans like you. I heard his interview, I thought it was funny actually. Made me chuckle. It didn't ruin my weekend. I guess I'm just not a sensitive soul.
I don't worship hill. I don't see why he picks mceveley. I don't know why he's signed dagnall. But at the same time I don't see why he should get mullered for every decision he makes. I happen to think he's a good manager. Not a god, but a good manager, who deserves a chance. Obviously in your mind you either want hill shot or you blindly praise him like a god, and there's no in between. I'm not one to start getting personal but have you seen the number of , er shall we say, unconplimentary comments about you? Plus all the people who back hill, such as myself? I reckon they outnumber the grumblers 15 or 20 to 1. I suppose we are all wrong?
I'm stick of stupid Barnsley fans with so called big club mentality. Where not a big club we get less that 8.5 thousand home fans each game. Oh is that his fault as well. I wouldn't blame him if he walked he as been given no support from the board except to bring in second and third division players. This town either needs to back the club or loose your team just like Bradford and others...
