Site Admin: please link subsequent thread to this one to make sure everyone reads all the kind thoughts and memories of Keith. Well worth a minute's applause on Tuesday - can anything be sorted?
When I worked at Oakwell in the mid 80s, the records used for pre match and half time entertainment were dropped off by Kenny, a chap who had a record shop. Keith used to call in to pick them up. After a while, I cottoned on to the fact that he usually played them in the order they were given, so the ones at the bottom never got aired. Lost count of the times the Birdie Song was sneaked to the bottom! So, playlists between 85 and 87 we're down to me, from a dodgy selection. As others have said, remember him in The Grey Horse, on quiz night, arguing over answers . Rip.
Thanks, he deserves it for all the work he did in the local community in general and particularly at Oakwell.
