    Agreed, couldnt take to the bloke. Turned us down and had to be pursuaded to come here. Gave the impression to me that he really didnt want to be here. His record at Rochdale though speaks for itself. Wish him well wherever he ends up, just hope its never here again.

    Think Keith got a cut of transfer profits, that came from a Dale fan. I don’t doubt a change at the top has led to Keith’s removal- probably been allowed to run the club in all but name up until now.

    If true, I don't see a problem with a manager negotiating a cut of transfer money.

    A club like Rochdale probably relies on player sales and I don't suppose they have a network of people behind the scenes who identify and sign players.

    I think it would be a good incentive for a manager to bring in and develope better players.

    I think this could be another case of "be careful what you wish for". Ipswich and Mick McCarthy spring to mind. Although I think its probably true that you can stay too long in one place and it all goes a bit stale.
