I geuinely believe this is for real....

I do think that he does want a two-year contract, which WBA are not offering (at the moment!!!). I also think he knows that he is going to find it hard to compete at Premiership level nowadays. If Leeds thought they had a chance, then we surely must do. I think that Derby would be likely to edge i over us as Phillips has more Midlands connections than northern, but it is good to hear that we are linked.

I just think his preferred option will be for WBA to offer him the two years he wants (which they may yet well do), or he will look at Derby, or then we would sign him. It is good we are linked.

    I dont

he's probably on £15k a week and that is simply fantasy world as far as what we are able to offer. 3 times the wage limit imposed by the League, absolutely cloud cuckoo land anyone giving it even a milisecond of thought.

I don't need 'drink' to give me a 'posotive' view of life

Too many people have 'negative' outlooks to life and a good percentage post on here. (doh) (doh)

Forget positive and negative and try realistic ............

......... I think I'll resurrect this thread when Phillips finally puts pen to paper somewhere, and the details of the deal are known ............ think one or two on here might be a tad embarrassed at that point that they even started to believe it might happen

Kevin Phillips - I'd be delighted to be wrong on this one, but..

Wake up. It's nothing but a dream. There's no wonder we get pissed off with our signings when you get irresponsible rumours about players we have no chance in signing.

'Oh we signed X. Wish we'd got Kevin Phillips'. !!! (doh)

It was the same when the 'box office' signings rumour started year before last. Club never even said it was making 'box office' signings - then all of a sudden the club was lying to us because we didn't sign Chopra. FFS.
