    Yes, so did I but what is deemed respectful seems to change with time. I was taught to stand up and give my elders a seat on the bus. Don't see much of that nowadays. Same people that taught me that respect would no doubt be classed as racist and sexist by todays society. We will always have people on the fringe of society that don't reflect the test of us.

    Yes what is deemed as respectful has changed - maybe that respect shown to our elders has now extended to people of a different race and women

    I think we can link to tweets (never done it) so perhaps we should create an ongoing thread of shame and ridicule to such offensive tweets. Just posts with no comment. Show how offensive they are, even when the emotions have passed. Would be a depressing undertaking mind you.
