I know I must be wrong about Keith Hill Because I agree with just about everything Durkar Red has said on here about him. And I know for a fact Durkar thinks I'm a lovely person. That's not to say I don't like Keith Hill, because I am warming to him, he's an entertaining bloke, and I think he's an excellent football manager. I just happen to strongly disagree with some of the things he has said in the past. Steveos's post, like many I've read from him recently, I find almost unpalatable. Constant one-upmanship, continually deriding fellow Barnsley supporters while crediting himself, making out it's a crime for ever having an opinion other than his own. Extremely distasteful.
Aye got to agree Jay. I have not really said anything about Keef but I could understand how some saw it. Constantly patting oneself on the back is very distasteful and ungracious. Plenty seem to do it on here though. Makes them better fans you know.
Whoo look another sly dig at me for daring to think his accent is lousy, but its not just his I cant stand,I have said that plenty of times, its all the people that come from around that area and I include my aunty in that. but hey lets just pretend I am a cu nt. Who cares anyway there are plenty of arse lickers on here that think they are better than me, so **** em!!!!
Re: I know I must be wrong about Keith Hill Well Jay - I'm sorry you find my posts unpalatable. Really I am. I also apologise unreservedly for giving you the perception that I'm into one-upmanship.....cos I'm not - that's the furthest thing from my mind. I'm guessing we both want the same thing - the success of our club? That being the case I have no interest AT ALL in crediting myself - I only refer to previous posts to validate my opinion & substantiate my argument. Interesting however that you seem to believe that i'm unworthy of expressing the same - ie an opinion. Debate and discussion is all. What I find extremely distasteful is our fans / supporters booing and moaning at a group of players and their management team who are giving 100% for this club. What I find unpalatable is for those same fans / supporters booing and moaning at our team after the recent run. My main argument is we have got to be patient - even when we hit the inevitable rocky patch. I'm saddened if you can't see that. Oh and one other thing, if I am allowed to come on here and express my opinion and views then I will continue to do so......and whilst apologising for some things I will never ever apologise for continually deriding "fans" who criticise players when they are giving of their all. That might be unpalatable to you, but I would hazard a guess that the majority of the regular 9000 would agree with me. In Hillcroft I trust.
Re: I know I must be wrong about Keith Hill It was the bit when they were not giving 100% and were *****, that is when they were booed, they will never get booed for giving it all they have, but if they dont , they will be booed.
Re: I know I must be wrong about Keith Hill ok - so in those first three (very crap) games - after a good 0-0 draw at Forest - they weren't giving their all???..or was it just that they needed time to gel, play together and a little more support?? Patience is key. Pre-season it was evident what Hillcroft were trying to achieve. I agree with you - if they don't give their all for that shirt then they shouldn't be on the pitch. Personally I think the management team feel the same - see his comments today re arrogance. As I've said on tuesday before we scored the second goal there were morons around me who were moaning and having a go. A group of idiots were also having a right go at Davies. The same guy who has scored 6 in 7 and who ran his blood to watter at Peterbro to the point where he was dead on his feet. Surely no one in their right mind can defend that kind of condemnation from fans? In Hillcroft I trust.
